1. How do I make a booking?

Booking can be done online, or by sending a booking form via email, post to one of our offices. Alternatively you can visit us at one of our branches. We have branches in London, Atlanta, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and also Chennai.

2. Where can I find a booking form?

You can find a booking form on our website, under the "How to book" section. www.startours.co.uk/Download-Booking-Form
If you are still having trouble downloading the booking form, please call our sales team and we can post one out to you.

3. Where do I send a completed booking form?

You can email your completed booking forms to info@startours.co.uk, or fax them to 02089036380, alternatively you can post them to one of our offices.

4. How long will you hold a provisional booking?

Provisional bookings are held in the system for 48 hours. if after 48 hours the booking is not confirmed with a payment then our system will automatically remove it.

5. I do not have the passport numbers at the moment can I still book?

We will need passport details at the time of booking. We recommend you check the validity of your passport prior to booking.

6. I do not have travel insurance can I still book?

We strongly recommend you have travel insurance when travelling.

7. I do not have an email address

If you do not have a email address then we can post your invoice to you. However to book online you will require a valid email I.D.

8. What is an emergency contact detail?

These details are required by us; as a precaution should any mishaps occur whilst on tour.

9. Do I have to sign the copy if I am emailing the form?

No your email signature will be valid.

10. My child is only just turned two, do I have to pay child fare?

Yes, any children over two have to pay the full child fare.

11. Why are you charging me for infant when they will be on my lap?

We legally have to provide a seat for each child travelling whether they use the seat or not.

12. What is a confirmed booking? How can I confirm my booking?

Once the required payment is made we will confirm your booking, subject to availability, we will then send you confirmed booking invoice.

13. What is a booking reference number?

The booking reference is a unique 5 digit numtber for your booking . It will appear on the right hand side top of your booking confirmation.

14. What is the minimum number of passengers needed to confirm a tour?

This will be dependent on the type of tour. For European Coach tours the tour will be confirmed when we reach 20 passengers.

15. Can I make a second change on my booking?

A maximum of two changes are allowed on any booking. Please refer to our T&Cs which has further details. www.startours.co.uk/Terms-and-Conditions.

16. What is a confirmed departure?

When tour has reached the required minimum number of passengers, we will confirm the departure. Please speak to our sales staff for information on confirmed tours.

17. When will you confirm the tour?

Once we will have minimum number of passengers on a departure, we may not confirm a tour up until 2 weeks prior to departure.

18. How important it is to have names as per passport when booking a flight tour?

If the names are not as per the passport the airline will not allow you to travel.

19. I have booked a flight tour and I have not been given any confirmation yet?

We send confirmations seven days in advance only. We may not send you the e-ticket as it may be the case that the tour manager will be giving you the ticket confirmation at the airport.

20. Do we inform passenger about their flight details in advance?

For flights to outside Europe we will check that the flights are convenient with you before booking your flights. For flights within Europe the details and e tickets will be sent to you 7 days prior to departure but we will inform you about your flight details.

21. My friend and I are booked on two separate booking reference but we would like to sit together is that possible?

If both of you have same pickup point than we can try to confirm both of you in the same coach. You will need to inform us of this at the time of booking.

22. How early do we need to book?

As soon as you finalize your tour plan, you should book which will avoid any disappointments as well as you may be entitled for discount.

23. What room type should I put?

Single - Single Bed (will incur single supplement)
Twin - Two single beds
Double - one double bed
Triple- one double bed and one single bed

24. Can four people stay in a room?

This is not possible on European coach tours (exluding Infants), unless a 2nd Child has no bed.

25. Can five of us stay in one room?

No, we can only accommodate three people in one room.

26. What is "prices based on two people sharing" ?

Prices are based on two adults sharing a room, If there are not two adults sharing a room then the prices will be different, and a single supplement will apply.

27. How many children are booked on this tour?

If you need a rough idea of how many other children are booked on any particular tour you can call any of our sales team, who will be more than happy to assist you.

28. I am a travelling alone so does that mean I have to pay a single supplement?

We have a number of single travellers who undertake our tours. Generally if you are travelling alone on one of our popular group tours and would like to share a room with a fellow traveller of the same gender, we can arrange this for you which will avoid you having to pay a single supplement only possible if both aprties agree - should the sharing party cancel then you will need to repay the single supplement charge. If you specifically request your own room, then you would be required to pay the relevant single supplement. Please note that for all pre or post tour accommodation and bolt-on excursions single room rates will apply as often we will not have anyone to match you with.

This can be checked at the time of booking. Our sales team will be able to assist you with further information.

30. How can I manage my booking online?

To view & manage your booking online, please log-in to your Star Tours client account by visiting www.startours.co.uk. You will be able to book all your future tours via your new account.
You will be able to access your account by clicking on the "Login" link on any page of our website.

If you have not independently created an account before making a booking with Star Tours, we will create one for you. If Star Tours has created an account for you, please use the following details to log-in to your account for the first time:

Username: The email address which you used to make your initial booking
Password: The surname of the lead client of your initial booking

Please amend your password once you have initially accessed your account.

31. I cannot add visa charges to my online booking?

This cannot currently be added when making an online booking. Please contact us if you would like Star Tours to process Schengen visas on your behalf.

32. How do I know if my booking is confirmed or provisional?

Your invoice will state the status of your booking, all bookings are provisional up until payment is received and taken. A provisional booking can only be held for 24 hours.

33. Is my tour guaranteed to run?

All our group tours are subject to minimum number of confirmed travellers. If we do not reach that minimum number we will have to cancel the tour. However if we do cancel the tour we will refund the full tour cost amount that you have paid us, or you can choose to travel on another suitable date.

34. Can I book a particular seat on the coach?

Unfortunately we do not take seat requests under any circumstance (unless covered by law) as a result your seat numbers will be allocated to you on the first day of travel by your Tour Manager. Seat numbers are allocated generally by booking reference number however there are aspects that may influence this such as promotional seating, H&S policy etc.

35. I am getting the tour cheaper somewhere else?

Our prices are done to be competitive. Also we are bonded by ATOL and ABTA to ensure your holiday and your money is protected at all times. Many of our competitors are not bonded and we advise you to check this before booking.
