1. What are the different payment option that I can pay in?

You can pay by credit or debit card (International credit/debit cards issued outside the EU has a 2% surcharge), by cheque, cash or bank transfer.

2. When is my outstanding balance due?

For flight tours the full balance must be settled six weeks prior to departure, for coach tours it is four weeks prior to departure.

4. Is there a surcharge on credit cards?

As of January 15th, 2018 there is no surcharge if paying by a personal UK or EU issued credit card. There will be a surcharge if paying by a company or cooperate card of 2%.

5. Do I need to make a payment if I book online?

Yes, the online system will only except your booking if you are making a deposit or full payment.

6. Will you store my card details?

No we do store card details, for future payments you would need to call us back with your card details. Our payment partners may store your card details in line with the regulations of the FCA.

7. I have done an online bank transfer why is my booking not updated?

We can only update your account when the monies are physically in our account. However we can put a note on your account if you send a screen shot.

8. What is a screen shot?

When you complete online payment transfer, you will see a screen confirming the payment is done with payee account number and amount.... to send us proof of your transfer please, "Print Screen" this page and copy into an email, and send it to us with your booking reference. please email to

9. What is a bank transfer?

Bank transfer is the same as a wire transfer, this just is the term used for transferring funds (payment) from one account to another account. When you are making a bank transfer please remember to use your booking reference number as the payment reference.

10. How can I pay if I am booking from India or USA?

If you are making an online booking you will only be able to pay in GBP. If you are visiting one of our branches outside the UK you can use local currency.

11. Do I have to put down my card details in an email?

You can state on the booking form if you would prefer someone to call you to take your card details over the phone.

12. Can I make a payment online in Dollars or Euros?

No, we can only accept online payments in Pound Sterlings.

13. Is my money safe when booking a holiday with on the Star Tours?

Over the years, many travellers worldwide have lost their holidays, seen no refund and been afforded no recourse when the company they had reserved their holiday with goes into liquidation. Star Tours is a member of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) and for your further protection and peace of mind - ATOL (Air Tour Operators Licence). 14. Is there a surcharge on non UK issued debit cards?

We do charge a 2% surcharge on all debit cards used that are not issued by a UK or EU bank.
