At Star Tours we can take the hassle away from you and arrange most of your visas depending on your status and nationality. If you would like us to process your visas on your behalf then it is suggested that you provide us with all the relevant documents as set out below (for UK residents only) at the time of booking. It is recommended that you allow yourself plenty of time for the visa application process, usually 1 month prior to your departure, (During peak periods ie: Bank Holiday weekends & school holidays it is advisable to allow 6-8 weeks).
The present costs for visas are set out below these are however subject to change.

Passport: Must be valid for at least six months from date of completion of the tour and also must have 3 months UK visa validity from the return date of the tour back in UK.
Bank statement: Original current account and less than 1 month old, with minimum balance of £800, if you don’t have bank statement then we require traveller’s cheque for minimum £600. (Original 1 month old bank statement and the recent internet print out or balance receipt from the bank of the same account is valid). No saving accounts statements are accepted only current account statement are accepted. If self-employed then a recent dated letter from your accountant or solicitor or bank manager is required stating your salary and position.
Payslip: Most recent 3 months payslips, internet print out is valid, in most cases.
Passport size photos: 2 most recent passport size photos with white back ground (4.5cm in length by 3.5cm in breadth).
Travel insurance: Must have your name, start date, finish date and region/area to be visited e.g. Europe/Worldwide. Internet copy is acceptable. You can purchase this via our recommended partner Citybond Suretravel.
Please note: passengers who intend to have a long term visas should note that their UK visas must be valid minimum for 1 year along with a 1 year annual insurance policy .However, we can not guarantee the validity of the visa as the decision is at the discretion of the embassy and not Star Tours ltd.
Work permit: Original work permit is required and must be valid for minimum 3 months from completion of the tour.
Employer ref. letter: Original and less than 1 month old from the date of applying; stating your position in the company. (Please note contract letter, offer letter, terms and condition letter, appointment letter are not acceptable. Click here to see a sample.
Application form: Available from our website of relevant embassy, complete as much as you can which includes your personal details from the passport and we will fill out the remaining information. Please note that the forms should be signed. Click here download the Application form.

Marriage certificate: Your original marriage certificate must be in English. If not in English, then translation is required and this must be certified as a true copy by the Embassy/Consulate of the country where your marriage was celebrated or by the legalisation bureau of the Foreign Office in GB.
School/ University letter: Original and most recent stating you are a student and name of your course and type of studies.
Birth certificate: If minor (under 18):
- Original Full Birth Certificate, stating both parents’ names, with official translation if not in English. This official translation must be certified as a true copy by your Embassy/ Consulate or by the legalisation bureau of the Foreign Office in GB.
- Parents’ valid passports or certified copies if the parents are residing abroad.
If under the age of 18 and travelling to France without the parents or with one parent:
- A parental authorisation to travel form, completed and signed by the parents or legal guardian authorising the child to travel and appointing the person responsible for him. This letter should be duly authenticated by a solicitor or Commissioner for Oaths, or by a Consular Officer of the applicants’ nationality;
- Parents’ valid passports must be enclosed with the application, or certified copies if the parents are residing abroad;
- Original Full Birth Certificate, stating both parents’ names, with official translation if not in French or English. This official translation must be certified as a true copy by your Embassy/ Consulate or by the legalisation bureau of the Foreign Office in GB.
Pension book/ letter: Original pension book or letter stating which shows that you are receiving direct debit in your account.
