Where will my seats be?

Seats are allocated in the order the bookings received. In some cases due to operational reasoning or policy this may not always be the case. All seats are allocated at our discretion and is non-negotiable. We reserve the right to change your seat at any time.
 

What facilities are there on the Coach?

All coaches are fitted with TV, DVD & WC. Vehicles used for short tours or feeder purposes may not have toilet facilities. Please do note the toilet on the coach has a limited capacity and is only suitable for urinal waste.

Will my coach have WiFi and charging facilities?

No we do not promise to provide coaches with WiFi or charging facilities. Should you receive a coach with this facility then it is a added bonus. This is due to the numerous suppliers we use across our tours.

What is the layout of the coach?

The seats are two by two. With a toilet near the middle or rear of the coach. There are 5 seats at the back.

What leg room is available on the coach?

You will have approx 8 inches of leg room.

How many people have booked on this tour & where will my seats be?

Seats will be allocated in order of booking following Europe transport law. Families with small children are not allowed to be on the front seats. We cannot promise or guarantee a particular seat.

Do I have to take a car seat on the coach for my child?

Car seats are not provided on coaches but passengers should carry car seats with travelling infants for comfort and safety.

Are there sleeper coaches for overnight journeys?

No, all our coaches are normal seating coaches. That do have slightly reclining seats, the last five seats will not be able to recline.

Is there entertainment provided on-board?

Music and DVDs are played on long journeys. We recommend taking activities (e.g. travel games/cards)  for children to keep them entertained during the long drives. DVDs carried by our Tour Managers will be for the enjoyment for the majority and cannot gurantee individual preferences. Parental Guidence and viewer discretion is advised for all movies played by our Tour Managers.

Can we take food on the coach?

You can carry food such as crisps, dry food, bottled drinks on the coach but you will not be allowed to consume or bring on the coach any greasy foods such as burgers, Curries, Chips and Ice Cream etc.

Can we carry alcohol on the coach?

You are allowed to purchase and carry alcohol on the coach. Due to policy, you will not be able to consume alcohol on board the coach. Anyone found doing so will be ejected from the tour.

We do not want back seats, is there anything we can do?

Seats will be allocated booking as per booking. These will also be allocated based on other factors. We cannot keep the back seats empty hence some passengers will have to occupy these seats. Though they do not recline, these seats have been designed with comfort in mind.

What is my seat number?

Seat numbers will be given by the tour manager on the day of the tour. These cannot be changed. 

What is a Ferry?

The Ferry is a cruise ship which travels across the English Channel from the port of Dover to the Port of Calais and vice versa. The Ferry has a duty free shops and restaurants for the passenger to use during the channel crossing. This is one of the last places to purchase any essentials for your tour at the best prices. The coach will be docked below the ship and will not be able to be accessed during the entire sailing time. Your tour manager will give you exact logistic information on the tour day itself. You will be able to change currency on board the Ferry.

When will we use the Shuttle?

On selected tours the shuttle is used one way. 

What services are there on a Ferry?

Whilst on board the ferry for 90 minutes there is a wide range of activities, such as a play area for children, video arcades, coffee shops, bars, WC, restaurants and duty free shopping.

What is the journey time on the Ferry?

90 minutes, depending on sailing conditions.

What is the journey time on the Euro Tunnel?

35 minutes of travel time.

What is Euro Tunnel?

The Eurotunnel train,  will transfer you and your coach under the English Channel in just 35 minutes. Please do note this does not include passport control and security check times.

Is the Euro Tunnel the same as Euro Star?

No, they are two separate services. We do not use Euro Star in any of our tours. 

Can I request my diet on flights?

Yes you can and the same information will be passed to our agent when your flights are booked. However this request is not guaranteed and we advise you to reconfirm with your airline.

What are the Flight Timings?

For European tours the flights depart quite early in the morning. The flight timings will be given to you 7 days prior to departure. For long Haul flights the timings will be checked with you before your flights are booked. 

Will I be picked up from the airport?

We will be able to pick you up from the airport if you are taking a London Package with us. If you are taking a stand-alone tour or pre/post hotel stay with us, we may be able to arrange a transfer from the airport, however this must be pre-arranged and is charged at an additional cost.

The toilets on the coach are locked?

A WC on a coach has limited flushes/capacity once this has been reached the WC will be locked until it has been emptied. This can only be done at regulated places across Europe so we strongly advise only to use the WC in emergencies. The toilets are only capable of handling liquid (urinal) waste, any other disposal will render the WC useless. It is imperative no solid waste is flushed down the toilet (inc. Tissues, Nappies, sanitry products, any other waste).

Can I change my seat, or get front seats?

Seating allocation are generally allocated on a first come, first serve basis by booking number, however there are some exceptions to this, i.e. group sizes, coach size, promotional seating, health and safety, pickups, company discretion etc. We do not unfortunately promise or guarantee any particular seat on the coach. Any indication is for reference only and is subject to change regardless of whether given in writing or any other means. The allocation of seating is done to ensure all group sizes can be adequately placed on a given coach size, taking priority by booking reference number where possible unless one or more of the above circumstance come into equation. Seats are allocated few days prior to the tour departure and seat numbers will be given to you on the day of your departure, as they still may be subject to change or alteration and therefore it is not possible to provide them at the time of booking. Passengers with children in their group will not be seated in the front of the coach even if they have booked very early due to safety reasons. If passengers have different booking reference numbers and wish to travel together then it is the responsibility of the passengers to inform Star Tours at the time of booking. During multiple departures of the same tour and date this may not be possible due to the logistics of the tour. As all seats are standard any medical, and or personal grounds are not considered when allocating seats, unless explicitly stated by law or governing bodies.

Can I remain on the coach if I do not want to get off at a stop, service station, excurssion and/or sightseeing?

This is not possible and all passengers must vacate the vehicle as these times we cannot legally have a individual on-board.

Do you have parking at your pickup points for vehicles?

No, we are sorry we do not have any designated parking at any of our pickup points.
